What this involves
I started Walk with Jesus as a side project to use up a little bit of my free time. I had a strong desire to start writing devotionals and I wanted to be able to use my skills to help in some way, shape or form. This was a complete development of a site from scratch, logo design, SEO and is always ongoing, with new testimonies and devotionals, on a weekly basis.
The premise behind this project is for there to be a place for people to view a new source of devotional content, be able to access a “Daily Verse”, showcase people’s testimonies and how they became Christians, along with a resource centre for those new to faith and for those that maybe haven’t a clue where to start with Christianity.
I used the skills I’ve developed over the past few years and put them into one focused area. The site was built within WordPress and relies a lot on video footage, taken from a free stock site. When doing this project, I relied heavily on Figma, a concept designt tool, which is what I use for wireframing and page concepts.
Used: Web Design, Graphic Design, Video Editing, Content Writing, SEO, Web Development, Social Media Management
I strongly believe this has been the best outcome of any previous work I have done. I have a great pride over this project and have opened doors for myself in terms of trying new things and following my heart in doing this project.
I am currently writing and curating devotional content for the site, along with managing the social media content alongside my wife, which is something I haven’t done before. I wanted there to be a Hub for people from all walks of life, Christian or not, to be able to learn more about God and to have a space where everything can be under one roof.
In terms of expenditure, this project challenged me to do this as cheaply, but as professionally as possible. I started to look around for other web hosting companies to see where I could get a great service along with a cheap price. All in all – this project has cost £15, which I am really happy with.
I would really encourage anyone to even just take a look and I hope it has inspired somebody!

An ongoing project I am working on is Keylite Roof Windows. As a full time web developer for this company, I am constantly tweaking, changing and updating the web side of things. E-Commerce is a strong focus here, which is where I have learned most of my trade.
Take a look and see for yourself.
